Shannon 

Lead Instructor Therapist

Shannon Ruthven has a energetic personality with a passion for teaching,

supporting, and advocating for children. She has worked with children for

the past ten years of her life; her passion began with coaching and

umpiring girls baseball. As she got older she started working as a summer

camp counsellor, then went on to being an educational assistant in

preschools and childcare centres. She obtained a diploma in behavioural

sciences, from Seneca College, graduating with high honours in 2016, and

since graduating has worked as a Instructor Therapist, providing ABA

services to children and adolescents.

Instructor Therapist

Delia has worked with individuals with developmental disabilities for 5 years; from volunteering at charity events to working one on one with children on the spectrum. Delia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. Delia has worked across multiple settings, including in-centre and in-home, exercising her skills and experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Delia is currently approaching the end of her degree in Psychology at York University and will be advancing her education in the winter when she goes on to attend teacher’s college. Delia is passionate about community integration, advocacy for public awareness and acceptance, development and training, and the creation of inclusion programs for children with disabilities. Delia remains an ambassador for her former high school and especially loves dogs.

S A R A H

Instructor Therapist

Sarah is a dedicated and outgoing Instructor Therapist. She has been providing private respite services for families with children and adolescents living with disabilities for several years. Her compassion and caring for her clients is evident through her work. Sarah has a background in social work and is currently enrolled in an Applied Behaviour Analysis Degree program, excited to be working towards her BCaBA certification. Sarah has 7 years experience working with individuals with Autism. She goes above and beyond to provide the learning materials to assist in her client's learning experience and modifies the environment in creative ways to best teach them. Sarah finds fulfilment from her career by watching the children she works with grow and succeed.

Instructor Therapist

Iris is an enthusiastic Behaviour Therapist recently graduated with Honors in Neuroscience and Mental Health minoring in Psychology and Biology from Carleton University. During her studies, Iris focuses specifically on child development. Iris has experience teaching children with learning difficulties and assisting elderly with an array of neurodegenerative disorder. In addition, Iris is an active advocate for mental health awareness in elementary school and high school while volunteering in a wide range of community-based organizations. Iris is currently working towards a Registered Behaviour Technician certification and a nursing degree at Humber College/University of New Brunswick to become a Registered Nurse.

S H I V A N I

Instructor Therapist

Upon completing an Honour Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in psychology and neuroscience from the University of Toronto in 2011, Shivani began working with children with Autism as an instructor therapist. She quickly developed a passion for applying ABA techniques as a way of diminishing undesired behaviours.  She has experience working with children ages 2-17 in their multiple everyday environments (at home, in schools/daycares and in centres), to ensure generalizability of socially acceptable behaviours.  Currently a Registered Behaviour Technician, employing behaviour management techniques to help her clients develop positive social and life skills are very rewarding for her.

Instructor Therapist

Brianna has been working as a private tutor specifically supporting children with Autism for over a year. Brianna has her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She is a Registered Early Childhood Educator. Following her undergrad, Brianna went on to attend Western University where she acquired her bachelors of education. Brianna has worked as a supply teacher in the school board since January and as an Instructor Therapist privately. She is passionate and enthusiastic about education which is evident through her work. Brianna collaborates with the team to provide the appropriate tools and materials to better assist her clients during their learning journey.

Registered Behaviour Technician

Maria’s motivation to work in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism stems from personal experience, her drive and dedication is very close to her heart. She has over three years of experience in handling children with extreme behaviour and limited language capabilities. She holds Master’s degree in Physics and also is a practising Registered Behavior Technician with the BCBA Board. She works tirelessly towards goals of the programs with children bringing in a personal influence and compassion. She is very hands-on in her approach and would never compromise on the child’s best interest. She has worked in both settings of individuals and groups as well as in homes and centres. She’s a strong advocate for providing equal opportunities and has been the voice of many parents, teachers and her own son in making this a reality.

K A T H I E

Instructor Therapist

Kathleen is an outgoing Instructor Therapist who has a strong Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) background with aggressive individuals through specialized programming. She has a diverse background in social services supporting children, adolescents and adults with various exceptionalities. Her speciallty is in Mental Health and those diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Kathleen has been a professional in this field for over twenty-four years and continues to fuel her passion to help others by pursuing post-graduate studies in Applied Behaviour Analysis.

Imy has always had a great interest in helping people and enhancing their well-being which lead her to obtain her Social Service Work Diploma. Imy has experience working 1-on-1 with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as dual-diagnosis in various environments in the community. She is currently pursuing a her certification as a Registered Behaviour Technician. She has been working in the social services field specifically supporting individuals with Autism for 3 years where she implemented programming to support their transition into society. Imy loves helping people to reach their full potential and watching them progress in life. She finds fulfillment in her work and is always seeking creative approaches to effectively work with each individual client.

H A R S H I

Lead Instructor Therapist

Harshi is an experienced behaviour therapist and comes with a solid background of ABA/IBI practice from many different types of settings and has extensive knowledge on effective and valuable client practices within private and public sectors. She has worked in the field of mental health for 6 years  and has been working as an Instructor Therapist for just over 3 years. She has  completed the Provincial IBI Training and has experience working with both children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and a variety of other developmental disabilities. Harshi graduated from McMaster University with two undergraduate degrees the first in Psychology Neuroscience and Behaviour and the other in Sociology. She then went on to complete a postgraduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science and in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Harshi looks forward to growing as an individual and professional as she begins her Master's in Social Work in September.
